We’ve recently returned from a fantastic week at Harrogate Christmas and Gift following on from a record attendance at the opening of our 2020 showroom last month.
Over the 4 days, where we exhibited the very best of our brand new collection, we engaged with over 450 customers, both old and new. It was our most successful show yet according to a recent Festive survey, sent to everyone who visited our stand at the show, where over 90% of respondents said that they were either more than likely or definitely going to be placing an order with us this year.
Our stand at Harrogate 2020 was inspired by Festive Markets all over the world. Every year in the lead up to Christmas, these Markets are visited by many people who are looking to get into the Festive spirit. It’s that spirit we wanted each and every visitor to and through our stand to feel whilst they rode our Festive Flyer, took a spin in our dodgems and grazed on some buttery popcorn. It was extremely popular given that almost 90% of those who visited our stand rated it either 4 or 5 stars, our survey revealed.
Just like our showrooms, our stand at Harrogate had something for everyone.
At the front of our stand was our Christmas Carnival theme, the perfect theme for creating fun memories with our customers. In a world that’s becoming more complex, human interactions are what matter. So, we set up a photo booth around our rollercoaster, The Festive Flyer, where customers could get their picture taken and put into a Festive bauble that they could take away with them. It was also the perfect opportunity to give our customers an idea of something they could recreate in their own stores and capitalise on the increasing popularity of a photo opportunity and an Instagram worthy Christmas destination.
Our Christmas Carnival was quite the contrast to the serene, delicate and feminine touch of our theme next door, Winter Blossom. Our inspiration for Winter Blossom was taken directly from trends just like our Berry Christmas theme which offers our customers a new edge to a more traditional Christmas look.
Around the corner from Berry Christmas we had high contrasting features and colours on display within our Glamourous Metallics theme, which we created using an entirely metallic colour palette. Our core themes came to an end in December to Remember with a New Year’s inspired party dripping in iridescent.
Every year we try to give visitors a taste of what they can expect to see at our showrooms. Obviously we aren’t able to take our entire range to the trade shows, but our in-house team of expert designers work tirelessly in the months leading up to the show, creating a stand which maximises our space. This allowed us to showcase each of our core themes and sub capsules, our innovative lighting products, bestselling tree families, infamous British manufactured tinsel and our show stopping large display items including our London bus, which sold incredibly well at the show.
We even had the capacity to display our extended mix of, plush and table top items. As well as a vast selection of glass, acrylic, decoupage, wood, metal, clay dough and shatterproof hanging decorations.
In total we’ve spent 10 months preparing for the show, 5 days setting it up, 4 days exhibiting and 1 evening packing it back up again. But we aren’t done yet.
It’s almost fitting that at the end of our stand we had our Festive Express train as it will soon be on the move again and stopping exclusively at the NEC Spring Fair where we will be exhibiting at stand 5C30-E31 & 5C40-41. We hope to see you all there for another successful show.
